Tyesha A James
President and Founder of SKN Scholars
Tyesha A. James, affectionately known as Taj, is a proud native of the beautiful twin-island Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. For the past eight years, she has been dedicated to giving back to her primary school alma mater, Beach Allen Primary School, driven by a deep love for her country and its people. Her commitment to her community naturally expanded as she sought ways to help other primary schools benefit from the contributions of her friends and fellow citizens across the Federation. This passion for uplifting children and promoting excellence has been the foundation of her efforts. In December 2022, inspired by the desire to create a broader platform for contributions, Tyesha founded SKN Scholars. The idea quickly gained traction, with over 50 individuals from the diaspora expressing their commitment to supporting their former primary schools. As SKN Scholars became an official organization, Beach Allen Primary School continued to receive contributions for students who excelled in various areas whether academic, athletic, or those in need, including those advancing to high school.
